Cursed With Ambition has sent a meme back to me -- meaning I put a meme up here a while back, tagged "everyone who reads this", and then learned that people like to be actually named as far as memes go. Who knew?
Since, as I freely admit, I wasn't "tagged" (by name) the first time I dealt with this meme, I will re-answer it at CWA's request. Then I will tag someone else (maybe a couple of people) and then we can all get back to the mind-numbing, soul-pulverizing business of living our lives.

Sadly, I don't expect Kenny Blasphemy to be responding to this (or any other) meme. Kenny's a mysterious blogger. Well, he's an actor-turned-blogger. From Abilene, TX. Still mysterious, though. Anyway, I'll put up a picture of Kenny, so in case anyone runs across him they can tell him about the meme and urge him to get back to blogging.
Abilene is also a mysterious thing. West Texas is a mysterious place generally, and Abilene's in West Texas. You can get the recent Abilene police report here. You should check it out, it's pretty sweet. Sweet in the strange sort of way that I really like things like this. The accent, diction, and delivery just slay me. Maybe I'm just being too cool for school, all up in my Austin cocoon.

The Tartan Horde has alerted me that it's the end of the TEX era at the University of Texas at Austin. I'm all for computers and crap, but this strikes a somewhat sad, hollow note with me. I do love how upbeat and funny William Livingston seems in the article. Anyway, I'm sure people who a) didn't go to Texas and/or b) didn't care for TEX will find this Comics entry even less engaging than usual. I remember Mr. Livingston speaking at... graduation? Some other thing? Anyway, he gave his little speil and closed with "Goodbye, and good luck", and we all went freaking bananas. Totally crucial.
Evan Two Dishes recently reminded me about the brilliant Crucial Youth. Does anybody else remember Crucial Youth and all the valuable lessons they taught the scene about positivity, good dental hygeine, and refraining from self-abuse? The great letters, both pro- and con-? The straight edge glossary?

Lately, I have been getting lost in Marshall's amazing world of circuit bent toys, homemade circuits, and instruments. Really. Check out "Sample 1" from his custom Playskool Old MacDonald keyboard. Custom, as in set up with:
Body contacts, 555 pitch control (w/ on/off), triangle wave pitch modulator (w/ on/off), LED to show triangle wave's rate, 2 distortion switches, 1/4" output, kill switch.
"Sample 2" is also great. There's like a million other good tracks to check out, so get to it.
