Sorry if this is a little rude, but you know what I don't care about? What bloggers** think about Hurricane Katrina/it's aftermath/FEMA... any of it. It's a tragedy. FEMA's lame. We get it. People shouldn't bore other people by letting them know how much they care about things. You're supposed to fucking care. You're just doing your job. Have a nice, warm cup of shut the hell up, and please do it quietly. Donate something or help out and don't tell anybody about it. As if anyone in the fucking universe doesn't know what's happened (sort of), what's happening (more or less), or what organizations are helping out.
**Present company excluded. If fact, Helen Back has supplied links to Best Friends Animal Society and United Animal Nations/EARS, both of which are pro- a very worthy and under-heralded cause. I could say something crummy like "the above-linked effort(s) might be a better way to spend resources than trying to track down Alex Chilton", but I won't. Maybe I just did. Just maybe. But whatever, the truth hurts.
